The Sports Grind Remembers Lee Elder
Sports Grind

On November 28, 2021, professional golf legend Lee Elder passed away at the age of 87 years old. Before there was Tiger Woods who, Elder paved the way for African-Americans in the sport. In 1975, Elder was the first African-American to play in The Masters, and four years later in 1979 he became the first African-American on the United States team at the Ryder Cup. Returning from the Thanksgiving holiday, Calvin and Hardge recognize Elder for his contribution in racial inclusion in the sport.
